Handspan Cottage is a cosy 300 year old fisherman's cottage, full of character, tucked away from passing traffic but within a minutes walk of the village, restaurants and pubs and just yards from the harbour. It has lovely harbour and sea views from all three floors, and unusually, a courtyard garden. The cottage has a metal spiral staircase between the three floors; on the ground floor there is a well-equipped modern kitchen/diner with electric cooker and hob, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and CD/Radio/MP3 player. The stable door gives guests views over the harbour while they cook and eat! The first floor consists of a double bedroom with harbour and sea views, and a shower room with wash basin and toilet. On the top floor there is a light and airy sitting room with exposed rafters, with sofa, TV, DVD player and great views over the harbour and sea. It has a small decked courtyard garden to the rear with table and chairs.
Parking is available in nearby car parks (2-5 mins walk). A weekly ticket for the Harbour Car Park can be purchased at the ticket machine for £30, or we can arrange a permit for Sunny Corner Car Park at a reduced rate of £35/wk. Lovely location. How nice to wake up to sea views every morning!
Beautiful cottage, beautiful Mevagissey. Completely relaxing stay for my other half and me, the perfect couples getaway. Walks around the harbour in the evening after fantastic meals in the local restaurants.
