Wisteria is a deceptively spacious south facing house, with parking and terraced gardens, on a quiet, no-through lane that can be accessed without going through the village centre; it is just a 5 minute walk downhill to the shops and harbour, and a couple of minutes walk to the park and the start of the cycle trail to Heligan. Built in the 1920’s, and with plenty of original features, the house is an ideal base for people that want to be within easy reach of Mevagissey, and would like outdoor space, etc.
At the front of the house, with views over the village, are the sitting room, with tv, dvd player and i-pod dock, and a separate dining room easily seating 6. The large kitchen has a 5 ring hob and large oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, plus a small table and chairs. The spacious hallway leads to a ground floor double bedroom, and a shower room / downstairs toilet. The ground floor has the original stained floorboards throughout, and fireplaces in each room.
Upstairs is the large master double bedroom, which also has a single bed/day bed in the room, the third bedroom with 3 ft bunkbeds, and the family bathroom, with a claw footed bath, wc, and basin. Outside, the garden is terraced on 3 levels, with a wisteria covered pergola on the front of the house, steps down to a patio with seating area, and a lawn on the lower level. There is also an outhouse at the rear of the house, containing the washing machine. Please note – the house is on a steeply sloping site, with steps between each garden level, and is unsuitable for people with mobility problems. FREE wireless internet access. Central heating, electricity and bedlinen included, no smoking or pets.
10% Discount when occupied by up to 4 people.
Access information - steps and sloping pathway up to first garden level, 5 steps up to next level and approx. 15 steps up to house. 1 step into property.
